Title Blended Learning and its implementation in Pakistan
Abstract

The session will cover the use of ICT in education in general and Blended Learning techniques in particular. The session will highlight the key challenges to Education in Pakistan and how we can use blended learning to scale quality education in Pakistan.

Bio

Talhah is working at Knowledge Platform since November 2001 and where he leads the technology team. Talhah also manages the Pakistan operations of the business. Talhah has extensive experience in building effective teams, leading engineering operations, talent acquisition, management and engagement, strategic thinking and alignment, program management, creating customer-focused culture, ensuring cross functional collaboration and use of performance support to drive delivery excellence. Having focused on learning solutions for the past fifteen years, he has deep knowledge of heterogeneous e-learning standards and numerous learning technology systems. He also contributed to the development of TinCan learning standard that is the next generation of SCORM. He has been involved in development of scalable learning solutions for corporate training and K-12 education. He has been managing key phases of solution implementation from learning needs analysis to design, development, deployment, training, support, monitoring and evaluation. Talhah is currently on the board of Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) and has also served as Secretary General in the past. He is also member of the educational workgroup created by National ICT R&D Fund, Ministry of Information Technology Pakistan. He holds a Master in Computer Science from the International Islamic University Islamabad, Pakistan.
